Does your space need a mural?
A mural is the least subtle thing you can do to a building, which is the point. It makes people stop on a street they usually walk straight down. It gives your guests something to photograph and post, which means your space markets itself while you sleep. It tells anyone standing in front of it that somebody cared about this place enough to put art on it. And unlike almost anything else you'd spend the same money on, it doesn't expire. A well-painted exterior mural holds for years. Interior work holds longer. You pay once, and it keeps working.
So, yes, your space does need a mural.
Okay, but how much does a mural cost?
Walls — from $20 per square foot
The rate depends on what the design asks of me. Simpler, more graphic work starts at $20 a square foot. Most of my projects sit in the middle — more detail, more colour, more time. Large-scale work, realism, and anything intricate sits at the top of the range.
Surface matters too. A smooth interior wall and a weathered two-story exterior are different jobs, and height changes what equipment I need.
Homes on wheels — $6,000 to $18,000
For a full treatment — prep, body paint, and mural — on a van or small skoolie, a mid-size skoolie or RV, or a full-size bus, Airstream, or large RV. Where you land depends on the size of the rig, the condition it's in, and how complex the design is.
Just want a mural on it, not a full repaint? Those start at $200 for a small accent piece and run up from there depending on how much of the rig you want covered.
Non-Mural Comissions — start at $1000
I take a small number of commissions each year — illustration, design, occasionally something unusual. I say yes when the project is aligned with what I'm making. So if you have a rad idea and think I can help you bring it to life, send me an email, and I'll tell you honestly either way.

Don't worry, it'll only take you about five minutes, and it'll ask everything I need to give you a real answers instead of a vague ones.

examples & an estimate
After our initial chat, I'll come back with mood boards showing what your mural could look like and a real estimate of what it'll cost.

get everything in writing
Clear expectations are key. Once we agree on the price, I'll send a contract that clearly states the start date, final price, and finish date.

time to start painting
A third of the payment is due at the start of the project. Then I show up, prep it, paint it, and clean up after myself. When I leave, it's photo ready!
